Our digital history project will organize a workshop tour that visits the Universities of Oulu, Jyväskylä, Eastern Finland, Turku, Tampere and Helsinki in January-February 2018.
During the workshop we will give a general overview of digital research methods, get hands on and try some easy-to-start digital research methods and programs, and network with other researchers interested in digital history research methods.
A more detailed program and registration will be sent out at the beginning of January.
In the project, we aim to collect best practices of facilitating digital history research in Finland, promote understanding on the opportunities and challenges of digital research methods among historians, and build networks among them. The Principal Investigator of the project is Professor of Industrialization Mats Fridlund from Aalto University. Other people working in the project are Jo Guldi, Johan Jarlbrink, Mila Oiva and Petri Paju (to contact both of the latter ones via email, use firstname.lastname@example.org).
